Door Seal W10861521 Whirlpool Dryer

The Dryer Seal is an OEM Replacement Part designed specifically for Whirlpool models. This grey rubber seal is positioned around the dryer door, preventing heat loss during drying cycles. A malfunctioning seal, indicated by longer-than-normal drying times or noticeable warm air leakage around the door. It may lead to inefficiency and increased energy consumption.

Over time, the heat may cause the seal to warp and loosen. Replacement involves disconnecting the power and letting the dryer cool. Carefully remove the old seal and glue residues from the old seal. The new seal is then installed using a high-temp adhesive (not included) and firmly pressed into the ridge.

Power should be reconnected after adhesive drying.
